You Are Now Free to Fly

by Frederika Angus

Here in the United States, we are celebrating the 4th of July or Independence Day. By this afternoon, backyards and parks will be filled with family and friends gathered together to celebrate the holiday. Fireworks will fill the night sky as we look up with childlike wonder at colorful displays with reverence the freedom we have.

But what does freedom really mean?

Freedom is defined as 1) The right to speak or act without restriction, interference, or fear, or; 2) a country’s right to rule itself, without interference from, or domination by, another country or power, or; 3) the state of being unaffected by, or not subject to, something unpleasant or unwanted.

On today, I believe the 2nd part of that definition is what immediately comes to mind. But the freedom that we have and live daily is more than a corporate freedom by default of living in a free country. I believe freedom is much more personal than that and can be expressed regardless of the location or country in which you live.

Daily, I’m honored to serve brilliant entrepreneur and visionary business owners all over the world. When asked how they started their business, you’ll the hear multiple stories from just looking to add an additional (or primary) income, chasing dreams to turn their passion to profit, being laid off, wanting to bring a bigger change to the problems they see around them or even just sick and tired of being sick and tired of the same thing day after day. While each story is individual in details, you can hear woven together in the telling of their business beginnings one common thread; business gives you freedom to be and do what you love.

And on the surface it means, you get to do what you want, when you want, if you want. But much on a much deeper level your business has the right to speak a message of light to those in darkness, and the ability to share hope and show love to every person you serve. You are free to face your own fears BOLDY and say, “I do not choose to shrink down and accept what is given to me. I am determined to take leaps of faith (often daily) to build and create the business and life that I love!

Bald Eagle Soaring

You are now free to fly!

Take a look at that definition again! You can speak and act without fear. You can look at limitations and restrictions and choose to go over, around and even through any hinderance to you living your best life right now. You can choose to not be affected by those things that are unpleasant or unwanted. Freedom is your right to live as a creator of your circumstance based on what you say and do! You can soar like an eagle.

So today and everyday remember that you have the right and full on permission to be more and impact many others with your business and your life. See you in the friendly skies. You are free to fly!

Talk to you soon!

Keeping the Momentum Going in 2013

Keeping the Momentum Going in 2013

by Frederika Angus

2013 is our year

Every year at this time, I see and hear others wishing away the previous year and anxiously awaiting the upcoming year. They know that this time it’s different. That this year this is really it! All their hopes and dreams, goals and aspirations must come true this year. It is as if right after they party like it’s 1999, some sort of magical hocus-pocus happens.

For those of us who have put in the hard work, dedication and built up steam, the last thing we want is to start over from the beginning. We just don’t have time to go back to the starting block. As we write the next chapter in our lives titled 2013, keep the momentum going. Do not turn away from all the work you have put into your business and brand. Where your website, blogging, social media and marketing efforts are working, KEEP MOVING FORWARD! And in those instances where you know you need to accelerate or even begin building in those areas, write the plan, get help and make it happen.

I fully believe that 2013 is indeed our year. For those looking to bring your dream of entrepreneurship online, the time is now and the opportunity is ripe. Social media is growing at an accelerated rate. People are craving the relationship that happens online through blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. Your business and your brand’s message is important and sharing that message is going to change lives, not only your own, but those that you serve.

This is an exciting time!

Let’s take 2013 by storm with our momentum. I’m so honored to serve each of you and I’m looking forward to continuing to do so in this new year.

Happy New Year!

What are you doing with your brilliance?

What are you doing with your Brilliance?

by Frederika Angus

I looked up brilliant in the thesaurus today. I found words like intelligent, talented, sharp, clever, expert, gifted, outstanding, remarkable!

Everyday I come across some incredibly talented people. Sometimes it’s through a new interaction on Twitter. Other times, it’s in a passing conversation in the grocery store or while watching my boys’ practice football. Through every conversation, I’m able to see such potential as they talk about their dreams and aspirations. They speak with such passion about their purpose and the great impact they want to have. I end up walking away from those moments ignited again for my own business, excited for the time when one day our paths cross again and we can share not only what we hope to do, but give updates on all that we have accomplished since the last time we caught up with each other.

Unfortunately, more often than not, when we do get together again, the original excitement is now replaced with excuses of why circumstances and situations have hindered and in some cases stopped the previous momentum.

Did you know, the best time to grow a tree is 25 years ago?

You see your brilliance, your IT factor, your uniqueness and intelligence is just like seed of a tree. A seed all by itself doesn’t produce a tree. The seed is what holds the potential for a tree to grow. Holding on to the seed until the perfect conditions come to plant will almost certainly guarantee that a tree will never grow. The only way to see and enjoy the fruit of a seed is to plant it, nurture it, and watch it mature over time.

The same is true of your own brilliance.

Are you holding on to your brilliant solutions and services?

Today, I want to challenge you step out in faith and plant your seed of brilliance.

Go to the comments and tell me one thing you will commit to doing and completing in the next month for your business.

If you’re in startup mode, it may be just deciding on a website domain name or having your logo designed.

For those further along, it may be time for you to commit to regular interaction with your current clientele via a blog or adding in email newsletters.

Perhaps for others it’s time to crank up the marketing or outsource to other’s that are brilliant in areas where you are not as strong.

Whatever your next step, take it in faith knowing that your brilliance will light the way.

Talk to you soon!
